Pre-School Gymnastics

Our preschool gymnastics programme offers a series of structured, coach-led sessions, suitable for children from walking to school-age. Depending on the child’s age, sessions may start with free play on soft play apparatus, or with more formal coach-led activities, with/without parental support.

Our classes helps children develop strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. Lessons focus on the development of fundamental movement patterns including the five key development pillars of SPLICE (Social and Emotional, Physical, Language and Cognitive, Inquisitive, Creative, Education)

Children have the opportunity to make new friends and also strengthen their parent/child bonds. A perfect environment to build their confidence, self esteem and social skills.

Children can explore their creativity, and develop their speech and language skills, through the sessions which are themed around termly subjects and also use music, songs and rhymes. Hand apparatus is also incorporated, such as gymnastics ribbons, ropes and balls which help to develop fine motor skills, and, large apparatus such as vault, beam, bars and floor helps to develop gross motor skills, as well as the fundamental skills for gymnastics.

1 Hour Classes - Girl's 6-10 Years
Open Play  (Walking - 5 Years)

Parent Assisted
The gym is transformed into an inviting safe environment with plenty of soft obstacles, foam pits and toys to encourage your toddler to explore and expand their boundaries under your guidance.

Children take part in a coach led warm up, followed by an open play session. The class is 1.5 hours long and finishes with 'circle time' after which the children are all rewarded with a sticker.

Children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times (Ratio of 1 adult to max 2 children)

A pre-school coach is present throughout the session to provide advice and assistance as required.

Gymnasts in this class will be given preference in our other pre-school classes, when they are ready to transition to a more structured session.

1 Hour Classes - Girl's 10+ Years
Gym Tots (2-3 Years)

Mini Squad (3-5 Years)

Independent

Our mini squad gymnasts are the stars of the future!

The squad is for 3-5 year olds girls that have been identified as having desire and potential to succeed in women's artistic gymnastics.

These gymnasts show possible potential to move into one of our higher level squads when they reach an older age.

The squad trains 2 hours per week, focusing on the progressive development of gymnastics basics, flexibility and conditioning which will underpin their future development towards a competitive career in the sport.

The squad aims to develop the basic skills needed for gymnastics as well as building confidence on all pieces of apparatus

Gymnasts are expected to work on their flexibility and strength in a more formal way, both in the gym, and at home.

Gymnasts will either transition to the Under 10 Competition Squad, or will be placed into our fun, recreational classes, as and when they reach the top of the waiting list for their chosen day

Parents will watch from the seating area, but due to the age of the children, parent MUST remain at the gym for the whole session

Next Steps

Once our little gymnasts ‘graduate’ from Pre School (and the time flies by, believe us!) they will then transition into our fun, recreational classes, as and when they reach the top of the waiting list for their chosen day.
