Artistic Gymnastics for Girls

We are a Womens Artistic Gymnastics Club providing classes for girls from walking age upwards.  Fun, structured and progressive sessions that will see your child grow into a confident, determined and accomplished gymnast

Furness Gymnastics Club has been helping girls reach their potential in gymnastics since the 1970s, within the Women's Artistic discipline.

Run as a not-for-profit club and through the support of many dedicated volunteers, it provides classes for over 200 gymnasts a week. Classes are provided for complete beginners right through to competitive gymnasts, making sure there is something for children of all ages and abilities

With well-equipped facilities, including a foam pit and full floor area, they have their own dedicated facility based at Greater Kings Hall in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

The team has decades of experience, and success at county, regional and national levels.  The qualified coaches are trained to the highest standard through British Gymnastics, and use recognised coaching techniques to deliver the sessions.

The club pride's itself in being a safe, child-friendly environment with a family atmosphere, and gymnasts are encouraged to achieve their personal best, so they can feel a sense of achievement and self worth. Medals are a bonus, not a target.

The club is Gym Mark accredited and a registered BG club, which means they adopt the health, safety and welfare policies of British Gymnastics.

  Fighting for Perfection

Film

In 2013/14 one of our coaches, a local filmmaker, approached the club about shooting a short gymnastics film at our club. The film featured many of our gymnasts.

The film called Fighting for Perfection (2014) can be watched on YouTube here.
