  1. Hi, I have recieved your letter about a place and I am sooo happy and excited so I just want to say a massive THANK YOU :D

  2. Hi Rhianna,

    Thats great news.

If you could fill out a waiting list form (go to join our club) and you will go on the waiting list. I would suggest you pick Monday's as that has the shortest list currently.

    Thanks

    Lindsey (coach)

  3. Hi,

My name is Rhianne Taylor and last night my dad said i can join gymnastics in september... Will there be any spaces for me in september i am 12 years old. I can do the splits one way and i am learning to do it the other way, i can do cartwheels, roundoffs, handstands, fall bak into crabs, forward rolls and headstands. Thankyou.

  4. Hi Zoe,

I have had a word with the head coach and checked that your letter has arrived. It has!

So now all you have to do is sit tight and wait for a place to come up, you have been added to the waiting list.

We wil send you a letter when its time for you to come in. The list is long I'm afraid, but we will get you into a class as soon as possible

    Thanks, Lindsey

    Zoe

  6. Hi Zoe,

No its not too late if you already have an acrobatic background. Why don't you fill in a form (click on Join Club' under the 'Contact Us' tab.)

It would be worth including a letter explaining you background in trampolining.

    Thanks

    Lindsey

  10. Thanks for letting me compete in the two piece competiton.

  11. Emily, if you are the girl who has contacted Kendal, could you please make yourself known to Mrs Fraser or Brenda as I can not identify you from the details given to Kendal.

  12. Thanks for trying and i will keep trying

    Emily

  13. Hi Emily,

Glad to hear you are so keen and enjoying your class. The coaches are constantly looking at girls in the recreational classes and keep an eye out for any girls that have the ability to more on into the squad class. Unfortunately you can not request to go into squads, it works the other way round.

Just keep working hard in your class and continue to improve on your strength, splits and bridges, that will increase your changes of being put forward for trials.

    Thanks

    Lindsey

  14. Hi Zoe,

I'm not sure how long the list is myself, if you ring the gym club the coaches their will be able to check in the records for you.

    Lindsey

  15. Hello , i am already in recreational class so is there any chance i could come into squad for a few weeks?? just to see if i like it o rnot ??

    Emily

  16. HI i am hoping to join the over 10's and on saturday morning how popular is that group???

  17. Hi Zoe,

It will depend on which age group you are in and what nights you are able to do as to where you are on the list and how quickly you will more up it. Some classes will be more popular than others.

We will let you know when a place becomes available.

If you would like to know roughly how long it will be then please ring the gym on 835803 during class times (found on the sessions tab) and the coaches may be able to give you a better idea.

    Thanks

  18. Hi my name is zoe and i really want to do gymnastics i already do trampolining and i have already put my name down for the waiting list i was just wondering how long is the list???

  19. Hi my name is zoe and i really want to do gymnastics i already do trampolining and i have already put my name down for the waiting list i was just wondering how long is the list???

  20. Hi Rhianne,

Sorry but our gym is a dedicated gymnastics centre, that is laid out all the time. We can only provide gymnastics at our club on Barrow.

There is also a gymnastics club in Kendal, if that would be better for you, run by a different club.

Also you will probably find that your school may do some gymnastics. It will not be as advanced as our work, but they are likely to do floor and vault.

Good luck with what ever you end up doing

    Lindsey (coach)

  21. Hiya Furness Gymnastics my Mum and Dad said I'm nt aloud to start because its in Barrow so could you think about doing another one or moving it nearer Ulverston like Dalton or somewhere coz me n my friends wanna join but its barra so were not aloud x

  22. HI Rhianna,

You have to join recreational classes first and then if we think you have what it takes to work in squads then we will move you into them.

Great to see you are so keen.

    Lindsey (coach)

  23. Thankyou furness gymnastics, my mum and dad are having a good talk about it and they are deciding if i can join ok also ... how do you get to be in the squads i wanna be in one xxx

  24. Thankyou Furness Gymnastics ill fill it in soon x

  25. Hi Sharon,

That sounds great. She can always work on her strength building and flexibility untill she is old enough to join. You should get her on the waiting list anyway, so that we know of her for possible squad trials when she is due to turn 6.

Kids that have good splits and strength will show up in recreational classes too for possible squad.

Swimming is an excellent sport for developing good strength, but anything she enjoys that keeps her fit will be good untill shes in the gym.

    Merry Christmas

    Lindsey (coach)

  26. Hi,

Really really want my daughter to do this if only she wasn't too young yet. She at the age of 3 has already learnt herself to do a perfect forward roll with perfection. I wish I had carried on with gymnastics when I was a child I was really good able to do a back flip no prob. Won a BAGA award 4 then moved schools and they didn't do it there. Nearly got my award 3 as well.

  27. Hello, the site is really good!

Well done to all of the teams that competed for furness gymnastics at Kendal!!!

im proud to help my club

    Emily xx

  28. Hi Rianna,

Yes of course you can join. If you click on our join club button in the contact us drop down menu you will find a form. Just fill it in and as soon as a place becomes available for you, we will let you know.

Just make sure you check its ok with your parents. They have to sign the form.
